After years of working a variety of writing jobs (book publishing, copywriting, editing, technical writing), I returned to school (Mount Mary University -- Milwaukee) and earned my teaching certification in secondary English in 2008. I taught at Germantown High School in Germantown, WI for six years and have been at Chequamegon since 2015. I currently teach English to all 11th and 12th graders at Chequamegon High School.

I have two adult daughters, a large extended family, and spend as much time as I can walking the beaches of Lake Superior. I also have a pet tarantula named Roger.
Interests: Rock hunting, hiking, fishing, reading, jigsaw puzzles
